Vintage British Virgin Islands Banana Leaf Collage Art Signed D Lundy Sunny Caribbee Gallery Tortola BVI Up for auction/sale is a beautiful vintage mid-century style banana leaf fiber collage artwork. This handcrafted marquetry piece features a stylized Caribbean landscape depicting a figure carrying a basket on their head near distinctive tall trees.The entire composition is meticulously created using various natural shades of dried banana plant fibers to build depth, contrast, and texture without paint or dye. Artist: Signed "D. Lundy" in the lower right corner. Provenance: Retains its original vintage gallery backing label from the famous "Sunny Caribbee Spice Shop & Art Gallery" in Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The banana fiber collage is fully intact with rich natural tones. The wooden frame is solid with minor age-appropriate wear.
