Vintage Studio Art Pottery Pomegranate Vase Signed Martin 1989 Black Amber Drip
Up for sale is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind vintage studio art pottery pomegranate-shaped bud vase. This hand-thrown sculptural piece features an organic silhouette modeled after a natural pomegranate fruit, complete with a detailed, crimped crown opening at the neck. **Glaze & Design:** The vase features a striking, high-gloss drip style glaze with swirling, abstract tones of black, amber-gold, and cream. The gestural splashes over the dark base evoke a mid-century modern aesthetic with a stylistic nod to traditional Japanese Mashiko-ware tones. The flat, unglazed stoneware base beautifully exposes the dark natural clay body underneath. **Markings:** The bottom of the base is clearly hand-signed/incised by the artist "M. Martin" and dated "'89" (1989). **Condition:** Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Glaze remains exceptionally bright and glossy.
