This exquisite regional piece features a deep, glossy cobalt blue slip-glaze base accented with vibrant, hand-painted decorations. One side highlights a charming, stylized bird (a classic Alsatian pelican/bird motif) nestled among red berries and green leaves, while the reverse side showcases a bold, sunny yellow sunflower pattern.

The classic chamberstick form includes a distinctive twisted rope-style loop handle for easy handling and a beautifully executed scalloped white border running along the rim of the wide drip tray base. The underside reveals a smooth, unglazed, light salmon-terracotta clay base, typical of traditional European earthenware pottery production.
