Antique Challinor, Taylor and Co Rooster on a Nest

This is the Grand Daddy of them all! Literally! LOL. This was produced circa 1888. This is a clear glass SPLIT TAIL rooster on a textured nicely basket weaved base, with gold gilt braided rope band painted below the rim-some paint wear. This particular rooster on a nest-is sought after by collectors of antique EAPG or Early American Pattern Glass. I can see where he may have had gold painted accent on his comb-and it is mostly worn off. He has tiny flea bites along the lower rim of the base from everyday use-more roughness than small bites. The glass on the inside bottom has a scratch and it appears it occurred while in production-it does not extend through the depth of the glass. He has random bubbles. He is overall in very good antique condition. He's going to be hard see go down the road. He measures approx 7"L, base stands 2" high, together it is 6 1/4"H, 5 1/2" deep, 2 1/2 Lbs.
