Vintage Victorian Nosegay Bedspread or Coverlet-Hand Made

This entire bedspread is constructed from interconnected hexagon-shaped lace motifs. Each hexagon features a central cluster or "nosegay" of delicate pink flowers w/ green foliage-framed by open, airy mesh lace stitches. The natural alignment of the hexagonal pieces creates a prominent, decorative zigzag or scalloped border along the sides and bottom. This pattern became popular in the 1940s - 1950s. This is in mint condition. This is free of stains, yellowing, fraying, or fraying or unraveled thread. The vibrant pinks and greens of the nosegay flowers are bright and unfaded by sun exposure or harsh washing. This has been recently laundered and smells wonderful! This measures approx 78" x 84". It weighs approx 5 1/2 Pounds-It would fit a queen size bed.
