Vintage Crewel Needlework "Tree of Life" Framed Art

Traditional needlework motif symbolizing growth, nature, and connection. This is crewel needlework-textured wool yarn stitched onto a plain linen or heavy cotton background. Various techniques used in the stitching: satin stitch, stem stitch, and French knots to name a couple. Features a regal antlered stag, a bouncing bunny and a quail. Vintage wood frame with lovely detail on the inner part of the wood-also boasts gold paint accents. Has a wire for hanging. It measures 12" x 15", 2 pounds
