Hand-Crocheted Bedspread Featuring an Intricately Designed "Swedish Popcorn Star"

This is a beautiful ivory color. It also has a finished border with a contrasting, custom pastel green. The design is constructed from individual geometric medallions or squares. Each block centers around a 3D radiating star or flower petal pattern created using popcorn stitches. Popcorn stitches are highly textured, raised Bobbles. The background features a lacy mesh pattern. These individual geometric blocks are crotchet separately and then carefully stitched together to form a large, continuous coverlet. this specific style of textured popcorn star was highly popular in the 1930s - 1940s. This measures 76" x 98". This is in mint condition. It has no staining, yellowing, broken threads, unraveling or mismatched yarn. No holes or tears. It smells wonderful, too! It has been freshly laundered.
