Vintage Schumann Wild Pheasant Golden Crown Stein/Vase Arzberg Bavaria Germany In addition to the beauty and deep coloration of the pheasant pattern, the porcelain itself is appliqued with a rope-like design. Indentations on the handle make for a sure grip. This stunning piece is not just for holding beer - it could easily take a place of honor on a bookshelf by itself or holding a plant. Referencing the maker's mark, this beautiful piece was made between 1960 - 1970 when the mark was used. Schumann Porcelain, made in the German Bavarian City of Arzberg, founded in 1887, is known for its quality and timeless design combined with functionality. The company unfortunately was closed in 1994. This piece stands 6 1/2" tall and easily holds The E & R stands for Ebeling & Reuss of Pennsylvania who imported it to the U.S. The number is an identifying mark related to pattern.
