Vintage 1989 Castagna Italy Koala Bear Figurine Realistic Textured Sculpture
This cute little koala comes to you from Castagna of Italy. He was made in 1989 of an alabaster (stone powder)/resin composite and was hand painted. He is signed 1989 Castagna and has his sticker - although it is worn. The company was located in Bagni di Lucca, Italy, and specialized in highly detailed, hand-painted animal figurines and sculptures. The company was at its peak during the late 1980s and early 1990s. It is no longer in operation. Measurements: 4 1/2" tall, 4" deep, 3 1/2" wide. Excellent Condition.
