Vintage Pair Of Parakeets Salt And Pepper Shakers With Tweet Sounds! By Chadwick
Vintage Bird Salt And Pepper Shakers CMI Inc Chadwick - Japan. I believe these are from the 1960s or a bit earlier. One bird is yellow while the other is green. They do both have some small signs of wear from age, some small chips (pictured) but no major chips or cracks. No ceramic repairs. Both have original stoppers and one has a Japan sticker. Originally these birds did tweet by means of the bellows gasket in their bases. While the mechanism still remains in both, they only make minimal tweeting sounds. They measure 4.5” tall.
