Hi, I'm Cynthia. I am a shop owner on multiple platforms with 20+ years of experience. I do everything within my power, including packing with great care and shipping fully insured, to get your "thing of beauty" to you safely. I have recently moved to the mountains of eastern Tennessee where I find my treasures and offer them to you, the beholder. I hope you will find your "thing of beauty" here. I was raised in a home where bone china, silver and fine crystal were both used and appreciated. This translated into a love of antiques and handmade items of similar quality. I love the journey that leads me to these beautiful things and I hope you will enjoy my "finds" as much as I have enjoyed finding them. Vintage Cranberry Art Glass Basket - Angelo Rossi Studio Twisted Rope & Flower Medallion Handle
Large mint condition Angelo Rossi Studio art glass basket in their famous cranberry color. This is a ribbed panel basket with a flared edge which has an intricate swirled/spiral rope handle. This is attached with glass medallions that have a stamped flower design. It is unmarked but the handle and attachment are typical of Rossi designs. This would have had a foil label originally. Rossi made cranberry glass by his own recipe which adds 24K gold to the crystal giving it this gorgeous rich color. Angelo Rossi is from a multi generational family of Italian glassblowers from Murano Italy, trained in their techniques. In 1981 he bought out Chalet Glass (Niagara, Canada) and began an artisan glass studio. Each of their pieces are individually mouth blown and hand shaped so every piece is unique.
