Vintage Arabia Finland Hämeenlinna City Hall Custom Order Wall Plate RARE Find

This is a custom-made wall plate by the city of Hämeenlinna, Finland, depicting a night view of the city hall. The designer is unknown, and the number produced and the official year of release are also uncertain, but it is a very lovely piece with the red city hall standing out beautifully against the deep indigo sky. The current city hall is the new building completed in 1990 . The city hall before 1990 had a history of regular construction (maintenance) both inside and out due to the building regulations at the time. On the back of the plate is the lyrics to the fourth verse of the Hämeenlinna city anthem, written by the poet and playwright JH Erkko (Juhana Heikki Erkko). The lyrics, which praise the beautiful night view of Hämeenlinna, suggest that the building is beloved by the citizens.
