Aynsley Bone China of England has become famous for their designs. This butterfly is one of them. Their floral designs were very popular. The ones that have butterflies in them usually sell out quickly. Butterflies symbolize hope, rebirth, delicacy, beauty, spirituality and joy. These are beautiful hand painted teacups and saucers. Aynsley Bone China of England was produced by the John Aynsley and Sons Ltd at the Portland Works in Longton, England. They were part of the Staffordshire Potteries. It has an embossed, fluted design with gold trim on the edges and handle. The Cottage Garden pattern was made circa 1939-1960s. The teacup has a classic flared Windsor shape with a balanced handle. Great condition Cup is 3”x 4” And Saucer is 5.5”
