MCM Dorothy Thorpe Style Creamer Sugar And Tray Silver Rim Roly Poly

When I picked up this amazing creamer and sugar set, it was wrapped in Saran Wrap and the silver rims were shiny and bright. As soon as I took it out of the Saran wrapping, it darkened. I am assuming this is normal for this sort of application. This is in a super thin glass with the silver or platinum rims. It’s definitely in the Dorothy Thorpe style, if it’s not actually Dorothy Thorpe. I don’t know how a person is supposed to tell if it is. The tray measures 10 3/4” long by 4 1/2” wide. The creamer is 3” high and the sugar is 2 1/4” high. Everything is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and minimal wear to the rims. There is a crusty shmutz in a spot on the under size of the tray and under one of the other pieces also. It did not readily wash off, so I left it. I’m wondering if it could be something from whatever surface they sat on. I got a good deal, so I’m passing on the saving to you.
