I am a Lutheran pastor living in Philadelphia. I love treasures and finding them in odd places. I secretly long to go mudlarking. I’ve always wanted a metal detector. And I’ve never been to a “bad” thrift store. (Don’t tell my spouse how much you can buy with twenty bucks!) My adult daughter is often my thrifting companion.

LeGras Art Nouveau Vases, Blown Glass & Enameled and hand painted, French, 1900, pair of vases
These two vases are attributable to Francois Theodore Legra circa 1900, They are enamel on transparent green glass. The gold is probably screened on. The floral motif is hand fired enamel. Unique with their rounded bottoms and square mouths. Legras' artistic creations are not always signed but their form makes them easily recognizable. Legras produced glass items until 1928. Height 11 inches, 5 inches at widest point. Vases show some wear which should be expected from antiques of this kind. No cracks or dings. Similar vases have sold for $300 - $500 each at auction.
