Vintage mid-century Italian art pottery pitcher/vase, attributed to Fratelli Fanciullacci or Deruta. Beautiful 8” tall ceramic piece with a heavily textured white pebble/lava glaze, black hand-painted leaf and vine design, and gold gilt accent bands around the rim and body. The raised dotted texture gives it a very sculptural look and makes it a standout MCM display piece. Marked Italy 140 on the base. Many mid-century Italian export pottery pieces were marked with country of origin and a production or shape number rather than a full maker’s signature. Condition is excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Light age-related wear to the gilt/base and minor surface wear consistent with age. Please see photos.
