Box 4.5” coasters 4” Otagiri Mercantile Co., Ltd. was a Japanese company known for producing decorative ceramics and giftware, particularly popular in the mid to late 20th century. Their items often featured charming hand-painted designs, including animals, landscapes, and floral motifs, which appealed to a wide audience. Many Otagiri pieces were exported to Western markets, becoming sought-after collectibles today. This particular set, titled 'The Sea,' showcases a serene seascape with seagulls, rendered in a distinctive dark blue enamel with delicate gold accents.
