Wade Ceramics, a British pottery company, has a long history dating back to 1810, but it was their "Whimsies" line, introduced in the 1950s, that gained significant popularity. The "Bear Ambitions" series, introduced in the mid-1990s, is a continuation of Wade's tradition of creating charming and whimsical ceramic figures. This bear is the ballerina and is oh so cute! They are typically made from earthenware and finished with a glazed coating.
