Vtg Rustic Clay Jug Vase Rope Neck Primitive Southwest Boho Distressed 9"
Offered for your consideration is a striking vintage mid-to-late 20th-century rustic clay pottery jug / decorative water vessel. Hand-crafted in the style of primitive Pre-Columbian or traditional Mexican folk art wares, this "Southwestern Revival" piece showcases a gorgeous Organic Modern, desert bohemian, or wabi-sabi farmhouse aesthetic. It coordinates flawlessly as a textural shelf anchor, a dried floral vase for pampas grass, or a standalone "found object" trophy.
The heavy, thick-walled earthenware body features a bulbous canteen silhouette with a narrow flared neck wrapped in authentic natural jute/sisal rope. The exterior is finished in a textured matte beige/sand wash, intentionally distressed with faux-aged purple and brown oxidation accents to mimic an ancient excavated artifact. Two horizontal bands of hand-incised vertical hash marks wrap the body, adding wonderful geometric depth.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition! The pottery body remains structurally sound with no deep cracks or repairs. The distressed finish and "chipped" texture effects are intentional design elements that enhance its primitive charm. The rope wrapping remains intact.
Measurements: Tabletop decorative vessel scale. Measures approximately [Insert Height, e.g., 8 or 9 inches] tall x [Insert Width, e.g., 6 or 7 inches] wide. Weight: approx. [Insert Weight] lbs.
Markings: Unmarked base, characteristic of artisan Mexican or Southwestern decorative export pottery.
