Vintage Hand Painted Gourd Birdhouse with Wire Hanger

Whimsical folk art birdhouse made from a real bottle gourd, hand painted with a colorful tropical scene and finished with gloss varnish.

Details:

• Natural gourd with natural stem at top

• Hand painted all around — bright green parrot / parakeet on branch on one side, red and orange mushrooms with ladybugs, bamboo leaves, berries and a large red poinsettia-style flower on the bottom

• Functional birdhouse with 1.5" entrance hole and small wooden perch below

• Copper wire hanger threaded through holes at neck — ready to hang from branch or hook

• Small drainage / ventilation holes at bottom (see photo of flower base)

• Varnished for outdoor use but best under covered porch or as indoor garden decor

This is a true folk art piece — each brushstroke is hand done, so paint is slightly textured. No two are alike. Great for garden, patio, sunroom, or cabin decor.

Condition:
