Vtg. (1931) White House Vinegar Green Bottle w/Cameo Ballerina, Owens-Illinois
This vintage (near antique!) green glass bottle from 1931 is a beautiful addition to any collection. Made by the Owen-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton, New Jersey, it features a garland swag with a ballerina cameo. The Owen-Illinois logo is stamped on the bottom, as is the manufacturing plant Code of 14 (for Bridgeton, New Jersey) and the year code for 1931. The bottles were produced for the National Fruit Company in Washington, DC and Winchester, VA. The bottle was used for their Apple Cider Vinegars, specifically the White House Vinegar, and were designed to be reused/refilled with their vinegar while being enjoyed for the bottle's beauty. The bottle is a great piece of American history and a testament to the quality of glassmaking in the early 1900s. This bottle is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts alike. The bottle is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. The embossed design remains in great shape!
