Vintage Wattisfield Ware (England) Cream Pitcher, Red Clay Slip Glaze, Handmade
This vintage creamer pitcher from Wattisfield Ware is a beautiful addition to any collection. Made in Suffolk, England during the mid-century modern era, it features an abstract blue glaze drip pattern, a majolica approach to the cream glaze, with portions of the red clay peaking through, and finished with brown glaze for the handle, rim and lower rim. The pitcher is handmade and stamped SFK, adding to its unique character. Measuring 4.5 inches in length, 3 inches in height, and 2.8 inches in width, this original piece is perfect for serving cream or milk. The pitcher is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or signs of wear. Please note there is one spot on the outer edge of the rim that did not receive glaze. It is not a chip. (See picture 2.) There is some slight crazing due to age.
