Vintage Silver Tone Filigree Bar Brooch Reverse Painted Pointer Dog Glass Pin

This dog has been on point for roughly a century and still has not flushed a single pheasant. Commitment.

Vintage silver-tone navette / bar brooch with a round glass cabochon showing a white-and-brown pointer or setter standing in the grass like the rest of the weekend can wait. Openwork filigree on either side, engraved chevron ends, C-clasp on the back. About 2 inches long.

Unsigned. Metal is silver-tone and not tested as sterling — if it were a labrador it would already have a certificate. The scene under the glass has that softly faded “I used to be brighter in 1938” look. The pin stem works. The dog does not fetch.

Wear it on a jacket and you will look like someone who owns land, even if the land is a patio. Or gift it to the person whose actual dog has already eaten two remotes and a throw pillow. This one stays put.

Good vintage condition for its age. Please study the photos — they are the only field trial this brooch is entering.
