Navajo Pitch Pottery=Typically low-fired in an open pit and sealed with piñon pine pitch to make it water-resistant for daily use. Features a natural, earthy, and sometimes slightly glossy dark brown or black finish from the pine pitch sealant. Designs are often hand-built appliqués or incised lines.
