Vintage Orange Fused Glass Art Platter – Atomic / Mid-Century Modern Style

Striking vintage fused art glass platter featuring a vibrant orange ground and an abstract, Atomic-inspired geometric design.

The elongated rectangular platter has been kiln-formed into a gently curved shape with raised ends. Its abstract design incorporates burgundy and bright yellow linear glass accents, dark geometric squares with metallic gold-tone centers, and a raised clear glass section containing crisscrossed burgundy lines.

The construction has wonderful dimension—the decorative elements appear incorporated into multiple layers of fused glass rather than simply painted onto the surface.

The reverse displays small trapped bubbles, subtle swirls and an orange-peel-like texture consistent with kiln-worked handmade glass.

This piece is unsigned and the artist or studio is currently unknown. It was acquired directly from its longtime previous owner, who stated that she had owned it for decades. Exact maker and date of manufacture are unknown; based on its provenance, it is being offered as a vintage piece.
