Vintage Murano White Reticello Lattice Net Vase Bowl Art Glass Venetian Made in Italy. Beautiful piece. 5.75" tall x 6.5" diameter mouth x 3" diameter base. Flower pot shaped. Rough edge with a few little flea bites as shown. Has a very faint gold or yellow stain as shown on the inside in the 9th photo. No other chips, no cracks. Unsigned. Reticello glass is an advanced, centuries-old Venetian glassblowing technique that creates a delicate, crisscrossing "net" pattern, often with tiny air bubbles trapped at each intersection. Originating in Murano, Italy, this technique involves layering two blown glass tubes containing colored or white glass canes, which are twisted in opposite directions and fused together. The intersection of the two layers of canes forms small valleys that, when sealed together, trap minute air bubbles in each diamond.
