Vintage MM Pottery Majolica Covered Jar, Hand-Painted, Two Handles, Portugal

This beautiful MM Pottery majolica lidded jar is hand-painted with yellow and green flowers along with olive branches with ripening fruit. The jar has two snug handles and is made of red clay, giving it a unique and rustic look. This piece is stamped with the MM logo and signed by the artist. Measuring 7.3 inches in height and 5.6 inches in width, the lidded jar weighs 1 pound and 12.3 ounces. The lidded jar is in excellent used condition. There are no cracks or signs of wear other than some crazing of the glaze on part of the lid due to age. There is a tiny fleabite chip on the upper side of the lid (see picture). This is a great representation of majolica pottery!
