Vintage Made in England Ceramic Lady Bust Pomander – Hand Painted Floral Figural Jar with Cork

Charming vintage ceramic bust pomander, Made in England. This lovely hand-painted piece features a serene lady’s face with flowing hair adorned in flowers, and a bodice decorated with painted blossoms. This figural piece would have originally been used as a scent jar or pomade holder, filled with herbs, powders, or potpourri to gently perfume a room or vanity. The floral area contains small pierced holes, allowing fragrance to escape. Origin: Marked “Made in England” Material: Glazed ceramic with cork stopper Design: Bust of lady with hand-painted flowers and pierced holes Size: Approx. 6" tall × 3" wide Condition: Very good vintage condition. Some natural age wear to cork; light crazing or minor paint wear consistent with age. No chips or cracks noted. Retains faint potpourri fragrance.
