Adorable vintage JJ (Jonette Jewelry) Basset Hound brooch, measuring approximately 2 1/4 inches.
This wonderfully expressive dog has the classic long, droopy Basset Hound ears, detailed textured fur, dimensional muzzle and the cutest little tongue sticking out. Two brilliant emerald-green rhinestone eyes give him tons of personality.
Finished in an antiqued silver-tone/pewter-tone metal, with darker recessed areas that really bring out the sculptural details.
The reverse is clearly signed “JJ” for Jonette Jewelry and has a traditional pin-back closure.
JJ is especially well known among costume jewelry collectors for its whimsical figural pieces, particularly its animal and dog brooches, making this a fun collectible for both vintage jewelry lovers and Basset Hound/dog collectors.
