Vintage Kojo Tanaka 田中晃常Japanese Sosaku Kokeshi Floral Wooden Doll Signed A1022

Vintage Japanese Sōsaku kokeshi by noted artist Tanaka Kōjō 田中晃常. The doll features a softly rounded elongated form, serene closed eyes, finely carved dark hair, and a warm brown kimono decorated with stylized floral motifs in black and cream. Signed vertically on the body “晃常作,” meaning “made by Kōjō.” Tanaka Kōjō worked in Gunma during the Shōwa period and is known for creative kokeshi with refined carving and floral decoration.
