#1202 Vintage iridescent art glass bird figurine by Silvestri.

Art glass bird figurines gained immense popularity during the latter half of the 20th century as charming decorative accessories and collectible paperweights. Manufacturers employed techniques like iridescent metallic coatings, often referred to as carnival glass finishes, to catch the light and create shimmering rainbow effects across the surface. These pieces were frequently produced in large quantities by various glassware companies and imported globally for home decor.

Silvestri was well-known for distributing decorative tabletop items, seasonal gifts, and molded glassware sourced from talented glassblowers and international studios during the 1970s and 1980s. Their glass figurines often featured playful animal forms enhanced with vibrant colors and lustrous lusters that appealed to mid-century collectors. Today, these vintage figurines remain cherished accents for display cabinets and windowsills due to their timeless aesthetic appeal.
