RARE ANTIQUE AMPHORA ART NOUVEAU CERAMIC ACCENT LIGHT - CIRCA 1900-1910

This is an authentic Art Nouveau ceramic accent light from the renowned Amphora pottery works of Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia (now part of the Czech Republic). This exceptional piece dates to approximately 1900-1910, during the height of the Art Nouveau movement. HISTORY & AUTHENTICITY: This piece displays the distinctive craftsmanship of the Amphora workshops, which operated in the Turn-Teplitz region from 1892 to 1945. During this period, Amphora became world-renowned for their exceptional quality ceramics featuring nature-inspired designs, innovative glazes, and meticulous attention to detail. Their works were sold by luxury retailers including Tiffany & Co. and were exhibited at the Chicago and St. Louis World's Fairs. MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION: - Handcrafted earthenware ceramic body - Matte green glaze with horizontal ribbed texture on the base - Vibrant high-gloss red glaze with organic, flowing design on the upper portion - Two decorative handles on sides - Artistic cutouts that allow light to shine through when illuminated - Cream/beige interior - Adapted with modern electrical components CONDITION: In very good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. The piece shows no major chips, cracks, one repair on one of the handles sone many years ago.. The glaze remains vibrant with beautiful patina consistent with its age. The electrical components are in working order and have been tested. The light may be optional, if no interest in it, I shall keep it.
