Vintage Hand Painted Squirrel Scene Tlaquepaque Decorative Plate

This is a beautiful sample of the traditional barro bruñido or burnished pottery from Tlaquepaque, Mexico. It is hand painted and the subject is a squirrel surrounded by very unique florals and an organic pattern border. It is approximately 9.25” in diameter. It’s in good vintage condition. There are a couple of small chips on the edges (see photos) consistent with age. It is signed BY Artist C. Lucano.
