Vintage Betz Malone Studio Pottery Twisted Vase, Purples, Imprints, Sea Foam Rim

This vintage Betz Malone studio pottery Twisted Vase is a unique piece of art pottery from North Carolina. It was made by artist Leslie Betz Malone, who now goes by the name Savitri Khalsa. She is a founding member of the Carolina Clay Matters group in Charlotte, North Carolina. This vase features an abstract imprinted design in deep purple glaze against a medium purple and pink speckled base glaze, topped with a sea foam glaze rim. Standing at 7.5 inches tall with a base width of 4.8 inches and a mouth width of 3.5 inches, this glossy finish vase weighs 1 pound and 10.6 ounces. Through her hand-shaping and twisting, the vase moves from a circle base to a triangle mouth. Signed by the artist (initials LBM) and produced in the late 20th century, this original piece showcases the intricate craftsmanship and artistic vision of her work. It is a beautiful piece! The vase is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or signs of wear.
