This classic English piece features a clean white body with beautiful hand-applied brown/gold leaf (or grape) motifs and a delicate gold trim along the rim and lid edge. The oval-shaped tureen has two side handles and a matching lid with an ornate looped handle. Maker’s Mark: Clearly stamped on the base: “ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA” with full crest + “ALFRED MEAKIN. ENGLAND.” Condition: Good vintage condition with characteristic crazing throughout (typical of ironstone china of this age). No chips or cracks noted. Some light discoloration/staining inside the base (see photos). Still very presentable and functional.
