Vintage 1950s Harker Pottery Wild Rose Fluted Oval Bowl With Matching Creamer
Offered for your consideration is a lovely vintage matching 2-piece fine ceramic country breakfast service set, featuring the famous "Wild Rose" pattern (Pattern #701) meticulously manufactured in East Liverpool, Ohio, by the historic Harker Pottery Company (America's Oldest Pottery, established 1840). Debuting in the early 1950s, this iconic set coordinates flawlessly into a rustic country farmhouse kitchen, traditional cottagecore hutch display, or romantic Grandmillennial tablescape.
Each piece features their premium Royal Gadroon multi-paneled fluted silhouette finished in a rich, glossy creamy ivory ground. The bodies are beautifully decorated with underglaze transfer clusters depicting soft pink moss roses and delicate green foliage sprays, all elegantly trimmed along the undulating rims with hand-brushed 22KT gold lines.
This Coordinated 2-Piece Set Includes:
-
One (1) Oval Serving Bowl: Detailed with integrated low-profile open pouring tab handles.
-
One (1) Individual Creamer Pitcher: Featuring an elegant, sweeping handle and extended pouring spout.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition across both pieces. The heavy ceramic bodies remain structurally flawless, bright, and solid with no chips, cracks, structural hairline fractures, or internal staining/gray cutlery wear. Glazes remain remarkably rich and glossy. The 22KT gold rim trims remain bright and highly reflective with only the most minor, age-appropriate light vintage shelf wear.
Measurements: Bowl measures approximately 6.5 inches long x4.5 inches wide. Creamer stands approximately 4 inches tall.
Markings: The underside bases proudly preserve the authentic underglaze gold stamped factory hallmarks featuring the cursive "Harkerware" script enclosed by a halo of twelve stars, reading: "Harkerware / USA / SINCE 1840."
