Vintage 1930s Metal Camel Table Lighter/Figurine Made in Japan Tobaccoriana Craft/Repair 3” T x 3.5” L x 1.25” W
Charming vintage figural camel table/desk lighter, manufactured in Japan during the early 20th century (circa 1920s–1930s). This cast metal piece features an stylized camel with an ornate saddle blanket, carrying a lidded compartment on its hump that originally housed a lighter mechanism.The underside of the belly is clearly stamped with "MADE IN JAPAN" and "PAT. Condition: Lid/Mechanism: The hump lid appears to have been glued shut by a previous owner. The internal lighter insert/mechanism is assumed to be missing or incomplete. The original gold/bronze-tone finish shows heavy, authentic wear and patina, particularly on the legs and lower body, exposing the darker base metal underneath.Structure: No major breaks or cracks detected in the main body casting.This item is being sold strictly AS-IS for parts, restoration, repurposing, or as a rustic decorative shelf curio.
