This is a mid-century hand-painted porcelain plate.Norleans, Japan, Artist Signed.
No condition issues. This appears to be a hand-painted porcelain plate, likely intended for decorative purposes. The reticulated edge, characterized by its pierced or openwork design, adds to its aesthetic appeal. The central motif features a vibrant floral arrangement, dominated by pansies in various colors, which suggests a mid-century design sensibility.
Hand-painted porcelain plates were popular during the mid-20th century as decorative items, often displayed on walls or shelves. The artist's signature, 'M. Kurita,' indicates a personal touch and adds to the plate's uniqueness. These plates reflect a blend of artistic expression and craftsmanship, making them attractive collectibles.
