Hi. I love hunting for treasures and learning even more history. I am also determined to let younger viewers know that some of us baby boomers are still supportive and enjoy the younger generation of seekers and preservers. I am a retired professor, writer and single Mom. I have been selling for vintage, funny anthropomorphic figures, folk art, pottery, vintage jewelry, and whatever else catches my interest.

Stunning Teapot Mid Century American Studio Art Signed Japanese Design Influence Grapevine Willow
This beautiful teapot is a wonderful example of American Studio Art pottery and teapots generally. The teapot is large. Unfortunately, since posting this the wicker handle has collapsed with age. The holes are still there for a new grass or wicker or other type handle. I have reduced the price accordingly. It is 10" high from the top of the lid to the base and 3" higher to the top of the middle of the handle. It is approximately 23" round at its widest point. The diameter is 3" at the opening and the bulbous spout is 3" long and 1" in diameter at the opening of the spout. The base narrows down to 3 1/2" in diameter. [ Edited to remove this:The handle, while still intact, should probably be used only for display. If used I would recommend replacing the handle with one that could safely handle the weight.] The teapot empty weighs 3 lbs 8.1 ounces before protective packaging.
