Signed Art Pottery Akira Satake Mug Cup, Black Kohiki, Saggar Fired
Black kohiki technique gives a charred wood-like finish to the exterior. Inner glaze tenmoku. The piece is gas fired and then fired again in a sagger to create a black surface. Very good condition with no cracks or chips. It does look like there is light scratching to the inside bottom from use. Approximately 2-3/4" tall, 3-1/8" in diameter.
