Hand-Painted Peach Shaving Mug | Antique 1880-1910

This charming Victorian-era porcelain shaving scuttle mug makes a lovely addition to any vintage bathroom vanity or classic ceramic collection. The front is decorated with a sweet, entirely hand-painted peach motif featuring ripe peaches nestled against soft green leaves. The delicate porcelain body features a beautifully scalloped gold-gilded rim that transitions into soft peach and turquoise gradient shading. Designed for traditional wet shaving, it includes an integrated top soap basin and a wide pouring spout to hold hot water. This piece measures approximately 3.75 inches tall, 6 inches wide from the edge of the ornate handle to the tip of the spout, and 3.5 inches in diameter across the main body. Please note there is a small crack located at the corner seam where the spout meets the main body, as well as some light, age-appropriate wear to the gold trim on the rim. Despite this structural flaw, it remains a wonderful, highly displayable piece of turn-of-the-century daily life.
