Set of 6 Aizu Lacquerware Black Bowls Gold Landscape Japan Mt Fuji Pagoda Design 5.5" Vintage Mid Century Japanese Decor
Set of six black lacquerware bowls featuring detailed gold Japanese landscape scenes including Mt. Fuji, pagodas, and bridges. Each bowl is marked with the Aizu cherry blossom mark and labeled “Made in Japan.” These mid-century bowls were produced in the Aizu region, an area of Japan known for its centuries-old lacquerware tradition dating back to the 16th century. Aizu lacquerware is celebrated for its durability, rich gloss, and gold maki-e decoration style. Each bowl measures approximately 5.5" in diameter and 1.75" tall. A beautiful and functional set for display or use, with all six bowls featuring different scenic designs. Light surface wear consistent with age. No cracks or chips.
