Set of 2 - Hand Thrown Studio Pottery Mugs, Beach Cattails Gulls, Signed

This set of 2 hand-thrown studio pottery mugs features a design of a beach/waterside with cattails and gulls circling overhead. Made in Virginia, these round mugs are glossy finished clay pieces with a unique and decorative pattern. The off-white lower portion of the mug is a light cream speckled majolica glaze, with the hand-drawn design in blue-ish gray. The upper portion of the mug (and handle) is a rich brown glaze that encompasses the inside of the mug as well. The mugs have a diameter of 3.4 inches, a height of 3.6 inches, and a length of 5 inches, making them comfortable in your hand. The artist's initials and mark are on the bottom of each. I believe it says "JK". Both mugs are in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or signs of wear.
