Royal Stafford 1953 Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Tea Cup and Saucer Bone China
Great Britain has just celebrated what would have been Queen Elizabeth II 100th birthday. This tea cup and saucer were made in 1953 by Royal Stafford to celebrate her coronation. It features the coronation date, June 2, 1953, a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the Royal Coat of Arms, and flags. Both pieces have gilt trim, the cup sports a beautiful curvy shape, and the saucer has a subtle scalloped rim. Royal Stafford was founded in 1845. The company continued production and underwent a number of mergers until it was closed in February, 2024. Measurements: Cup - 3 1/4" in diameter at rim, 2 7/8" tall; Saucer - 5 1/2" in diameter Excellent Condition: no chips, cracks, or crazing.
