Ray Tafoya Navajo Signed Sterling Silver & Rhodochrosite Pendant 1.33”, 6.9g
This is a vintage Ray Tafoya Navajo signed sterling silver & Rhodochrosite pendant. Ray Tafoya (1956–1994) was an acclaimed Santa Clara Pueblo artist known for creating intricately incised, polychrome sgraffito blackware pottery and, at times, working with sterling silver and 14k gold jewelry. He was active from 1976 until his death, often collaborating with his wife, Emily, and brother, Ken. He was the son of Tonita and Paul Tafoya, and the grandson of Severa and Cleto Tafoya. His work, including his pottery and jewelry, is considered highly collectible and has been sold through galleries like the Adobe Gallery, Santa Fe and King Galleries.
