Beautiful and uncommon vintage Empoli Italian art glass apothecary jar featuring a striking horse head finial lid. Made in a rich olive/emerald green glass with elegant vertical optic ribbing, this large statement piece displays beautifully and is perfect for collectors of Empoli, mid-century Italian glass, or unique decorative storage jars.

The horse head finial is an especially desirable detail and makes this an eye-catching display piece.

Condition:

• No chips or cracks.

• Light surface scratches/scuffs consistent with age and use.

• Please see the close-up photos of the horse head finial. During the manufacturing/fusing process, there are small remnants of molten glass around the base of the horse head as well as a small scooped-out area in the glass. While it resembles a chip at first glance, it is original to the making of the piece and occurred during production—not from damage.
