I went through a long phase where my favorite thing to do was find a treasure that others overlooked and upcycle it into something fabulous -- to give it a whole new lease on life. In the last few years, that creativity and love of old and beautiful things has morphed into something new. This is a gorgeous piece of copper art by Teresa Mowery of Patina Studio. It has hanging hardware and feet so could be a wall piece or a large trivet. It's in excellent condition with no noted flaws.

Teresa Mowery's bio:

Growing up in New England, I developed a deep connection to the patterns and forces of the natural world. My formal training as a jeweler, along with a BFA from Maine College of Art, laid the foundation for decades of exploring metal, chemistry, and surface design. I’m fascinated by how metal changes over time, revealing unexpected color, texture, and pattern. Each piece feels like a collaboration between intention, chemistry, and chance. The themes that continue to shape my work include: ocean, desert, mountain, cityscape, planets, microscopic life, plant biology, and the fractal geometry found throughout nature. Each artwork becomes a translation of these forms through metal, chemistry, and time-an evolving exploration of science, art and the transformative beauty of patina.
