Original Painting By Ernest Geissendorfer "Frankfurt Em Main" Snowcapped Roofs

This original painting is small, only 7" x 5" but depicts Frankfurt em Main prior to Germany's defeat. The " bridge over the Main" was destroyed by the allies and rebuild in 1946. The cathedral of Bartholomaus on Kaiserdam St. Still stands however. Ernest Geossendorfer (1908-1993) was from Rothenburg, Germany. It does have a small tear in the velvet frame and the paper on the back is torn. It has original label. Hand signed on the front.
