Oppenheim Israel enameled tray, 5” Long By 2.5”w, Marking On Back
A small enameled tray made in Israel, likely dating to the mid-20th century. The style is characteristic of the Oppenheim workshop, known for producing decorative Judaica and souvenir items featuring scenes of Israeli life and landscapes. These pieces often incorporate vibrant colors and stylized figures.
Oppenheim Israel was known for its metalwork, often brass or copper, with enamel overlays. The scenes depicted often reflect biblical or historical themes, or portray modern Israeli life. These trays were popular souvenirs for tourists visiting Israel in the mid-20th century and are now collected for their vintage charm and representation of Israeli craftsmanship during that period.
