Set of hand-painted porcelain plates featuring a tranquil lakeside scene in pastel green and peach. Each piece has delicate gold rim accents and detailed tree and water reflections. hand-painted porcelain berry bowl with an underplate, produced by the iconic Japanese manufacturer Noritake (originally Morimura Brothers). Key Characteristics Pattern: It features the highly collectible "Tree in the Meadow" pattern (sometimes referred to as the cottage by the lake or sunset scenic pattern). This signature design depicts a serene lakeside cottage, mature trees, a colorful sunset sky, and subtle details like swans gliding across the water and boats. Function: The top dish serves as a berry drainer bowl, featuring intentional drainage holes in the porcelain body to let rinsed berries or fruit weep fluid into the matching underplate below. Age: Depending on the specific backstamp maker's mark underneath, pieces featuring this distinct style and the "Nippon" or early wreath mark generally date between 1911 and 1921.
